Royal Mail tray for letters

Royal Mail trays are durable, lightweight containers designed for presenting and transporting letters and large letters in bulk. They protect mail during handling and ensure it can be processed quickly and efficiently through Royal Mail’s automated systems.

Each tray holds one selection (SSC) and is loaded with loose, unbundled items—not tightly packed—and never above the internal Plimsoll line (172 mm). Trays support a wide range of mail formats, including letters, polywrapped items, and certain large letters, helping keep them correctly oriented and secure in transit. Royal Mail trays also feature dedicated tray-label and barcode areas for accurate routing and tracking through the network. These trays are the standard container used across Royal Mail operations and are required for compliant bulk mail presentation. Maximum gross weight: 10 kg.
